About

The Hungarian – Southern African Friendship Association, was a spontaneous outcome of social, political, cultural, scientific, economic, business and other engagements, between like-minded South Africans and Hungarians.

We have to remember that there are also many South African’s with Hungarian Heritage; who either reside in SA, or who have migrated overseas. Some have decided to move, together with their family, to the ‘old country’ – Hungary.

Hungarians, found across all the corners of the World; are known to work hard and make a meaningful contribution towards their adopted society and community. Those Hungarians that found their home in SA were no different. Many married Afrikaners and sub-sequent generations became part and parcel of the ‘Boere Gemeenskap’ so to speak.
